Why would they do this?

I understand the appeal that German Cars have on the world population... predominantly the male population... And for myself, Mercedes has always been one of those cars that I said "Gee, I wish I could afford to get a Benz one day..." And now they go and do this... I know its not news to some people but others may be surprised that this car...

Is actually affordable? Obviously its no $18k Newly wed car, but starting in the low $30k's ain't bad either! So why does Mercedes torture me so?! Only a couple more years (eyes closed and fingers crossed...)

Am I alone when I say that this is one of the coolest motorcycles out there? Some of you may recognize it from the X-Men movies as being Scott Summers' (Cyclops) bike. I think it rocks and I want one. I just need to convince the wife now...
